A master of Architecture, Gio Ponti was heavily inspired by industry and designed the D.151.4 easy chair for ocean liners and cruise ships in around 1950. Now reproduced by Molteni & C, these versions feature 'loose' covers - namely upholstery that's entirely removable. We carefully tailored replacement covers for this pair in Kvdadrat fabrics.

Designed in 1951, Royère's 'Egg' chair is considered an important design piece of the 20th Century. Reupholstered in complementary fabrics from Kvadrat's Raf Simons collection. We restored the padded underside which completes the egg shape and had been removed during the previous re-cover.

We produced some sophisticated wrap-style box cushions to compliment a concrete sub-structure. The brief here was minimal, opting for a simple wrap with tailored corners and no hard boarders.
A renowned sculptural chair of the 1970s, the tongue chair is a regular on our workbenches. Comprising of a tubular metal frame with elasticated webbing and a rubber membrane, we have replaced many foam interiors and tailored covers on this model.
This sofa required a full restoration of the foam interior from the metal frame upwards. The foam interior was re-fabricated the shape using various laminated layers, then fixed to a metal frame with rubberised webbing and platform cloth. A true era of experimentation, this restoration involved a cross-over of traditional and modern materials.

Reupholstery of an antique Ernest race heron chair from the frame upwards. This chair was in a terrible state with next to no foundations left, just foam dust. A challenging piece to reinterpret with minimal references for the finished shape, all created through foam lamination work around a metal frame and hand sewn top cover tailoring.
Not your average upholstery for your better-than-average pub. The Duke pub was looking for something playful for their summer outdoor area. Upholstered in a classic ticking style stripe, we fabricated some faux french mattress-style cushions with light button tufting.
